It takes a village
Neuroequipped exists to simplify and centralise the information parents need when navigating neurodivergence. Research, rights, strategies, tools and the wisdom of experience pulled together in one place so you don't have to spend years piecing it together yourself.
But I can't do this alone, and I wouldn't want to. The best insights come from people who've lived it, trained in it, or both. Our contributors bring clinical expertise, professional knowledge, and hard-won parenting experience to every article and tool on this site.

Esther
Founder & EditorNearly 20 years in corporate change management taught me how to take complex problems and make them manageable. Then my daughter’s autism diagnosis gave me a complex problem no corporate framework could touch. I went down research rabbit holes out of necessity, learned to navigate the SEND system through trial and a lot of error, and started writing it all down because other parents needed it too. Neuroequipped was born out of wanting to help others.
Elaine Coverley
Parent ContributorOnce a kick-ass financial analyst in the City, Elaine quit her career to focus on her son: driving him all over the country, fighting EHCP battles, and embracing PDA strategies. Now, her ASD son is preparing to transition from special needs school back to mainstream; a credit to him, and to a decade of persistence and hard work from Elaine. She writes on NeuroEquipped to share the wealth of experience and knowledge that no one in the pub really appreciates but all SEN parents will.

Know something the rest of us need to hear?
Neuroequipped is always looking for contributors who can bring clinical expertise, professional insight, or lived experience to share with other SEN parents. If you're a therapist, educator, clinician, or a parent who's been through it and come out the other side with knowledge worth sharing, we'd love to hear from you. Writing skills aren't important, so don't let that put you off. You can even share your experience over a zoom call and I will write it up and quote you.
